About Ricky Martin Foundation
Ricky Martin Foundation advocates for the well-being of children around the world in critical areas such as social justice, education, and health. Our flagship project People for Children condemns child exploitation. As advocates of children's rights we aim to provide the most vulnerable population a safer world through awareness campaigns, effective policy making and multisectorial alliances. Ricky Martin Foundation, the Inter American Development Bank, the International Organization for Migration and President Oscar Arias launched the counter trafficking information campaign "Llama y Vive" (Call and Live) and a telephone hotline in Costa Rica on February 20, 2007.

Call and Live is the first regional campaign to combat human trafficking in the Americas. The campaign was first launched in Peru in March 2006 and is currently operating in Ecuador and Nicaragua. More than twelve lives have been saved through the hotlines. It will launch periodically in El Salvador, Colombia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Argentina and the Latino Community in D.C. Ricky Martin Foundation in alliance with the School of Medicine at the University of Puerto Rico will grant two new scholarships for students with low -income resources to fulfill their studies. The recipients will also do social work in local non-profit organizations that promote children's well-being. A total of 13 scholarships have been granted since 2000.
